Physiological potential and antioxidant metabolism during storage of soybean seeds contrasting with phenylpropanoid pathway compounds

چکیده

Differences in seed storage tolerance between soybean cultivars have been frequently observed. Thus, identifying compounds found them that may be related to these differences is necessary support the selection of with seeds better potential. Therefore, this study aimed evaluate changes viability and vigor during two environments, relating antioxidant activity, production reactive oxygen species, metabolites phenylpropanoid pathway. The experimental design was completely randomized a 4 × 5 factorial scheme (storage periods cultivars). Cultivars contrasting characteristics lignin content, coat color, isoflavone content were used, stored for six months cold dry chamber an uncontrolled environment. Every months, vigor, enzymatic activity (superoxide dismutase catalase), hydrogen peroxide evaluated. Storage maintains A, C, D; it reduced all Seed storage. There no association seeds’ physiological quality superoxide catalase activities. increase indicator reduction when difference deterioration associated coat.

detection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...

Sugar metabolism in germinating soybean seeds: evidence for the sorbitol pathway in soybean axes.

Characterization of sugar content and enzyme activity in germinating soybean (Glycine max L. Merrell) seeds led to the discovery of sorbitol accumulating in the axes during germination. The identity of sorbitol was confirmed by relative retention times on high-performance liquid chromatography and gas liquid chromatography and by mass spectra identical with authentic sorbitol. Accumulation of s...

Impact of Salicylic Acid on Phenolic Metabolism and Antioxidant Activity in Four Grape Cultivars during Cold Storage

Salicylic acid (SA) plays an important role in the regulation of plant ripening and responses to abiotic stresses. In this study, the protective effect of SA on cold stress-caused oxidative damage in grape (Vitis vinifera L.) bunches was investigated during cold storage.  Grape bunches treated with 2 mM SA and  stored at 0°C with 85-90% RH for 30 days. Samples were selected from each treatment ...
